Diabetes, Insulin Resistance, PCOS & Infertility
Complimentary Medicine: Yoga, acupressure, Acupuncture & Nutrition can help!
"The old saying “We are what we eat” is very true, as the food we eat impacts the strength and quality of our blood and bio electrical energy (“qi”). In TCM we say that health is the free flow of blood and energy, and disease is the blockage of this flow. The organs get weaker and sub par when they don’t get enough healthy, oxygenized blood. This is where the combination of Acupuncture, nutrition, herbs, acupressure and yoga can help tremendously.
Above is a photo of healthy and fresh veggies, organic protein and healthy fats that can make up a balanced diet. The Mediterranean Diet has been long espoused as the healthiest diet, given it encourages eating in season (seasonal) fresh fruits and veggies, lean clean organic meats, legumes, healthy fats and low sugar high fiber fruits such as berries SEE HERE.

The doctors of the past used to be highly revered if they could teach their patients how to stay well, so many modalities can be done at home for self care.

It is very important to keep the blood sugar stable and fully utilized for healthy reproductive hormones for both men and women, as too much sugar in a woman will lead to immature eggs and excess testosterone, and too much sugar in a man can lead to poor sperm quality and estrogen dominance. What is estrogen dominance click here. I do recommend The Zone Diet, as it encourages lower glycemic foods and a more balanced, Mediterranean style diet.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers a holistic approach to managing various health conditions, including Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and diabetes. It's important to note that TCM should be used as a complementary therapy and should not replace conventional medical treatment for these conditions. Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new treatment, especially if you have existing medical conditions or are taking medication.

It's essential to consult with a qualified TCM practitioner who can diagnose your specific condition and create a customized treatment plan. Additionally, always keep your healthcare provider informed about any TCM treatments you're considering, especially if you are taking medications or have pre-existing health conditions.
