The good news is we can protect, slow down and reverse the aging process by deep relaxation, healthy blood flow, alkalinity, nourishing foods and environments. The study of epigenetics shows that 80 percent of our gene expression has to do with our lifestyle and environment verses 20 percent from our genetics.
I have helped many woman with premature ovarian failure turn this around and cultivate healthy eggs, embryos and conceive healthy babies. TCM and Acupuncture are the best anti aging fertility boosting medicine I know of and I have seen many ‘miracles’. Miracles happen to those who believe in them and take steps to live closer to natural ways of life.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the concept of "kidney jing" relates to one's overall vitality, essence, and reproductive health. It's believed that the kidneys play a vital role in reproduction and the quality of eggs and sperm. When there's a diagnosis of "deficient kidney jing," it implies that there's an imbalance or weakness in the kidney energy, which can manifest as various health issues, including poor egg quality and infertility.
TCM practitioners such as myself view infertility through a holistic lens, considering not only physical symptoms but also emotional and lifestyle factors. They may use acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary changes, and lifestyle recommendations to address the underlying imbalance and improve reproductive health.
Acupuncture, in particular, is often used to regulate the body's energy flow (Qi) and restore balance. Acupuncture can stimulate specific points on the body, including those related to reproductive organs, to improve blood flow, hormone balance, and overall health.
Herbal medicine is another essential aspect of TCM treatment. Practitioners may prescribe herbal formulas tailored to an individual's specific pattern of disharmony, which may include herbs to nourish the kidneys, tonify Qi and blood, and support reproductive function.
As for effectiveness, there's evidence to suggest that TCM, including acupuncture and herbal medicine, may help improve fertility outcomes. With over 5,000 years of history this is the oldest comprehensive holistic medicine in the world and is used by over a billion people to get and stay healthy.
Several studies have shown results regarding the effectiveness of acupuncture and TCM in treating infertility. For example:
A meta-analysis published in the journal Complementary Therapies in Medicine in 2018 found that acupuncture significantly improved clinical pregnancy rates and live birth rates among women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Another meta-analysis published in the journal Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine in 2016 concluded that acupuncture may improve the outcomes of IVF, including increasing the clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate.
Some studies have also suggested that Chinese herbal medicine may improve ovarian function, regulate menstrual cycles, and enhance fertility in women with infertility issues.
