All athletes have a coach to get them through physical challenges and having a doula is helpful for a Mom prior to delivery. I myself had a doula for helping me create a birth plan and advocate for me while I was delivering my son Kai, which we believe helped me to dodge a cesarean.
There are many resources for finding a doula, one being: Umi Care which is a in-home postpartum care business operated by two sisters based in San Jose. Their mission is to provide loving care to families in the South Bay Area during the postpartum period in order to create a space for recovery, promote wellness and a thriving household.
Their postpartum doula care uniquely includes overall household assistance, customized meal preparation, postpartum pampering, and emotional support so that you can concentrate on wellness and bonding with your baby.
Mothers receiving postpartum doula support are significantly more likely to breastfeed and implement healthy and informed behaviors. You can find additional information on their website: https://www.myumicare.com.
Another being: one being Silicon Valley Doulas: https://svdoulas.com/.
Additionally, doula Rosevera Amos of http://www.simplynurturing.com/ (as seen in video below on Your Healthy Living Show) .
If I can be of assistance to you or your acquaintances please share this Substack with them. I offer in clinic and telehealth holistic fertility sessions. It is the greatest joy of my life to help families expand their loving families.
